UNDEFEATED BULLS MARCH ON IN MIDWEEK LEAGUE WITH VICTORY AT HEXHAM LEAZES

Giving debuts to Anya Meears-White, Mike Bowers & Jack Calconnen, but still with only 10 & Phil Ewart wicket keeping, the Bulls recorded their 5th consecutive win at Hexham Leazes on Tuesday 22nd May. The merry party included evergreen, enthusiast Mr Ben Jones Lee whose novelty approach to heading the ball whilst fielding seemed strangely apt ! We are indebted to Ben's commitment for actually being there.
Hexham batted first totalling 97-8 in their 14 x 8 ball overs, against opening bowlers Jack Calconnen & Tom Seymour. 4 wickets for Tom Seymour & 3 for first change Ben Sids twirlers with one run out.
The Bulls opening pair Tris Meears White & James Brown batted positively & when Dipper was out for a stylish 25, Bobby Green joined Tris. Meears-White senior compiled an attractive 41 before Seymour joined Green & the two saw the Bulls to victory in 12 overs. 10 points.
Next week's cup tie at home on Thursday 31st May is against strong Division 1 side Oceans. A tough test for the undefeated Bulls.
