THREE ACADEMY OPENING PARTNERSHIPS OF OVER 100 FOR EASHAN RAGBIR & SAM EWART.

Things often come in threes, so it is delightful to be able to report that on the three occasions Eashan Ragbir & Sam Ewart have opened together for the Academy in 2021 they have posted over 100 in each, two of them in the last two weeks.
On Sunday 30th May at Blaydon, 100-1 Sam 39, Eashan 50 (ending 66), of 236-5 in 40 overs, to win. On Sunday 18th July at Blaydon, 155-1 Eashan 104, Sam 48 (ending 57) of 276-8 in 40 overs, to win.
On Sunday 25th July at Gateshead Fell, 208-1 Eashan 116* (ending125*) Sam 82 of 232-1 in 40 overs, to win.
In addition, Eashan & Alex Charnley shared an opening partnership of 107 on Sunday 13th June v Gateshead Fell (h), to win.
Partnerships matter, in 2015 Ben Mussett (202*) & Michael Harbottle (91) posted 300-1 in the Division 2 game v Sunderland. In the same year, Marcus North & Jonny Craigs still hold the Premier Division record for the highest third wicket partnership of 246* at South Shields.
So far this season, Eashan 326 Academy runs, HS125* (1x50,2x100) Sam 291 Academy runs, HS 82 (3x50) & Alex 232 Academy runs, HS 69 (3x50).
