Congrats to The South North CC Academy (3rd XI) on their 2020 Banks Cup Final win!

Captains Report:
“We were put in to bat by Washington, and started fairly well with some explosive boundary hitting from Sadiq, before he fell for 21. At 38-2 Jan joined TMW, who together put on a very well made 52 for the 3rd wicket. Tristan with 42 and Jan 22. After both were dismissed, the innings seemed to be slowing to a slightly worrying end. Some much needed hitting from Ben Sid (34) who was very well supported by Sam Ewart (12) and P Hatcher (9*) got us up to a decent total of 163-6 from our 35 overs.
Hatcher struck in the first over of Washington's reply. However, the visiting side got themselves nicely along to 60-3, and seemed in a good position after 15 overs. Junior Alan Roskilly made the breakthrough, taking 3 important wickets, including that of Washington danger-man Hebron for 28. From then on it was all about veteran Dave Cragg, who swept aside the rest of the batting line-up, reducing Washington from 60-3 to 69 all out. Dave finished with a return of 5-12, and quite rightly took home the Man of the Match award.
A fantastic win for the side, and great to finish off what was a very enjoyable 2020 covid-hit campaign.” Owens Hollins
