OVER 40 WORLD CUP RECOGNITION FOR SOUTH NORTH TRIO

 We are delighted to report that Simon Birtwisle, Chris Hewison & Jonny Wightman have all been selected to represent England Over 40's in the International Masters Cricket Over 40 World Cup in Cape Town, South Africa from 17th Feb to 1st March 2024.

In 2023 Simon (34) & Chris (96) batted in the 92 run win over Wales on 23rd May & Jonny bowled 8-0-54-1 in the 7 wicket win over Wales on 14th June. The Bulls are the only team to have 3 representatives in the squad of 16 which is:

The tournament is organised into two groups of 6. England will face Australia, USA, Zimbabwe, Canada & Namibia. The second group contains New Zealand, South Africa, India, Wales, Sri Lanka & the UAE. The England group games start on 19/2/24, then 20/2, 22/2, 23/2 & 25/2. Matches are live streamed from 1015.
