Mini Bulls - Toddler Cricket at SNCC

9th Jun 2021

Mini Bulls at South North Cricket Club

Toddler cricket was introduced at South North Cricket Club for the first time this year.

48 Toddlers joined us over the 2 groups on Saturday mornings.

The groups were 2.5 – 3.5 year old’s and 3.5 to 5 year old’s. We had 5 South North CC cricket coaches in each session. It was amazing to see the kids grow in confidence as the 8 weeks unfolded.

We welcomed parents and put on complimentary teas and coffees upon arrival and we will be continuing to offer this as we encourage parents to socialize and use our facilities. We hope to grow the cricket community and for those attending to get more familiar with the club.

The sessions consisted of a range of fun exercises designed to keep the kids entertained and give them an introduction to cricket. We had a great mix of boys and girls in each age group.

As a result of its success, we are going to run more toddler sessions throughout the year.

We are offering two further blocks in the summer starting the 26th June – 31st July (6 weeks) and 14th August – 11th September (5 weeks) and one winter course starting in October which will be a more multi-sport based in the indoor centre.  The summer sessions are run outside on the main cricket field and in the case of inclement weather will be moved inside into the indoor school so that the session does not have to be cancelled. The sessions are £7 each per child.

We also introduced personalised Mini Bulls T-shirts with the participants name on. We do have to pre order these and hence will be opening a clothing window now for the course starting in June.

The T-shirt were a relatively slim fit and can be ordered in sizes 2-3,4-5,6-7 years old. The T-shirts are £19 and can be ordered from the link below.
