The weather has precluded play & the NEPL season has been postponed by one week, now beginning on Sat 22nd April with games against Burnmoor, but we are delighted to report that, following nets in the Essex area & then at Trent Bridge in late March, attended by 25/30 people, both Simon & Chris have been selected to play for the England over 40's X1 to play Wales at Broxbourne CC , Hertfordshire on Tuesday 23rd May 2023.
A 45 over per side fixture, the side features Darren Stevens (ex Kent) & Simon Guy (ex Yorkshire) & is coached by Luke Humphries & Andre Nel (ex South Africa). In 2023, over 40's international matches against Ireland & the MCC are planned.
The NEPL career records of both are outstanding.
