The visitors won the toss & chose to bat. Groombridge & Kilner faced the right arm seam of Davidson & Paton. Groombridge attacked from ball 1 but missed a lot until at 30 he lofted to Gough at deep square leg off West for 14 in the 7th.

Kilner & Longstaff appeared to show little early intent but pushed the score along until Longstaff (23, 33b 3x4)), slog sweeping, was bowled by Lunn in the 14th. George Gray had bowled 3 overs for 7, a rarity in T20 cricket.

Nixon (23,18b,1x4,1x6) was caught by Paton off Lunn leaving Kilner 37* (46b,2x4 1x6) & Lamb (1*) with the score at 112 after 20 overs, 14 extras including 11 wides.

Ruddick & Fletcher faced the right arm seam of Maddison & Groombridge. A straight 4 for James(8) before a second attempt was caught at mod on by Lamb off Nixon. Nathan (7) driving found mid-off caught by Kilner also off Nixon.

Ru was profitably employing the areas over & through mid-wicket & the covers & as the total developed Jacob (4) was caught at mid-wicket by Sargon off Nixon. Ru's fine innings (53, 31b, 8x4,1x6) ended, swinging the off spin of Birbeck to be caught by Maddison.

Lunny (3) was also caught by Maddison off the left arm medium of Smith but Andrew Doig 6* & Gavin Paton 5* saw the Bulls  safely home after 14 overs, 26 extras (9b,11w,1nb & 5 penalty runs) helped ! A comprehensive win.

Onward !

Duncan.
