Felling won by 8 wickets.
On a grey evening with low cloud, a 1747 start became possible, 20 overs per innings was agreed & Felling invited SN to bat. Weetman & Charnley faced the off breaks of Gustard & the seam of Tilley. Two boundaries over mid off in the first but at 15 in the 3rd Alex Weetman (9) drove Gustard to Rowell at mid on.
Alex Charnley was positive & with Ru took the score to 35 before Ru(7) cut to point & was caught low down by Wales. Alex C & Sam advanced the score to 69 in the 11th when Alex 37 (32b,6x4) skied an intended pull to be caught & bowled by M Lowery. Sam 15 (3x4) drove to long off at 79 in the 13th where Gordge took a low catch. Sadiq hit 3x4 in the same over off Tilley which leaked 16.
At 117 in the 18th Sadiq (23), aiming a big hit to leg, was bowled by Forster. At 128 in the 19th, after swinging M Lowery to fine leg for 6, Angus (8) skied a repeat & was caught at mid wicket, 128-6. At 135 in the last, Jacob (26, 3x4), was caught at mid wicket & three balls later James (2) suffered the same fate. Gavin added 1 & the innings closed at 139 after 20 overs.
Gordge & Witherspoon faced Khan (lb) & Hobbs (rm). 12 off three overs, 8 off the 4th & 12 off the 5th as Gordge explored over extra cover & backward of point. Ru conceded 10 in the 7th & Ben 11 in his last, but 0-21 was creditable. 60-0 after 8.
Gavin & Sree entered the attack but Gordge continued to give himself room & Witherspoon found the gaps such that the score had risen to 98 after 13 in which 3x2 were run. 14 off the 14th but success in the 15th as Witherspoon 39 (41b,3x4) was yorked off stump by James, 114-1. This became 121-2 when Gavin yorked Gordge 62 (50b, 8x4) in the 16th.
Joe Carroll 5* & captain Graham Wright 20*, with 4 driven boundaries in 5 balls, secured the win after 2 balls of the 18th over at 2008... & we could still see!
