BULLS PROGRESS TO THE SEMI FINALS OF THE ROSEWORTH TROPHY WITH VICTORY OVER WHICKHAM.

Whickham 107-6 (20o) Andrew Wilson 17, Tom Hodgson 20, Matthew Noble 27: Gavin Paton 2-22, Allan Davidson 0-18, Sadiq Khan 0-12, Ru Fletcher 2-24, Nathan Gough 0-8, James Ruddick 0-15, George Gray 2-6.

SNCC 111-1 (12.1o) James Ruddick 32, Ru Fletcher 57* Alex Weetman 21*: Joe Thompson 0-16, Dean Henderson 0-31, Matthew Noble 0-9, Liam Hanna 0-41, Nick Shaw 1-11.

SNCC won by 9 wickets.

Whickham won the toss & chose to bat. McIntyre & Wilson faced Paton & Davidson. A third over maiden from Gavin included the wicket of McIntyre (13) who skied to mid  wicket to be caught by Ryan Sid, 15-1. In Paton's 4th Wilson (17) toe ended a scoop to backward point where Alex Weetman took the catch, 41-2.

In the 8th Anderson (10) driving, edged Fletcher to w/k Ben Sid, 54-3. Hodgson (20) was going well but at 77 in the 15th pulled to mid wicket where Ryan Sid took the catch. George Gray's debut 2nd X1 spell of off spin in the 18th & 20th overs accounted for Henderson (10) caught by Fletcher at deep cover & Noble (27) advancing stumped by Ben Sid . George, 2-6, a good two overs at a pressured time.

James Ruddick & Ru Fletcher opened for the Bulls. 29-0 after 4 became 48 after 5 as Hanna brisk seam suffered 3x4 1x6. At 58 in the 7th James 32 (7x4) cutting, edged to w/k Horsfall off Shaw. Alex Weetman joined Ru & the pair advanced positively to the target which was reached with a Fletcher boundary from the first ball of the 13th over. Ru Fletcher 57*( 7x4 1x6), Alex 21* (3x4), having taken 14 from the 12th. Convincing!

The Bulls advance to the semi-final of our own, Roseworth Trophy, opponents & venue to be confirmed.
