SNCC won by 50 runs - 6 points Gateshead Fell 0.
A comprehensive win to begin the T20 campaign, on a sunny evening, the Bulls won the toss & batted. Birty & Rob put on 50 for the first wicket in the 8th when Rob (32, 22b 5x4 1x6) missed a slog sweep off the sla of Porter. Nik (1) did the same 3 balls later.
Birty (17) skied to backward square also off Porter, 60-3 in the 10th. Hewi (10) drove Smith to extra cover in the 14th, 82-4. At 106 in the 17th , Adam, a good knock of 25 (22b 1x4 1x6), found Javed off Lumsden.
Sean batted well for 28 (16b 3x4) until he drove to deep mid-off, also off Lumsden, 132-6 in the 19th. Oli (10*) & Sam (7*) concluded merrily.
The Fell lost two wickets at 11 in the 8th. Stacey (0) drove to cover to be caught by Hewi & Javed (0) edged behind, both off Calum. 13-3 in the 3rd as French (11) edged behind off Sean. 30-4 in the 6th as Smith (2) drove Lee to Birty at cover.
Pinkney (8) was palpably lbw to Oli in the 9th & Hutton's defiant 23 (3x4) ended when he drove Lee to Nik at cover, 53-6 in the 12th. 57-7 in the 14th as Lumsden (4) was caught by Sean behind square on the off side, the bowler Nik. This became 61-8 as Rutledge (3) swung & missed to Oli. Two runs later Elliott (1) offered a repetition & was bowled by Oli (63-9).
Angus (24, 12b ) connected with 3 sixes & but his luck ran out as he too swung & missed to Birty, 94ao in the 19th with Porter (8*).
