SNCC won by 8 wickets.
A 15 over a side contest in the 1/4 final of the Roseworth (2nd X1's) Trophy saw Tynemouth bat first. Hull-Denholm & Hallam P faced Davidson & Roskilly.
A steady start, 3 over spells from Allan & Alan saw the total at 44 after 6 overs. The introduction of Olivia Miller's leg spin & Jen McDowell's medium pace followed. At 78 in the 10th Hallam hit Jen high to long on where Will Alexander took the catch.
Sadiq's leg breaks entered in over 12 & Josephine's medium pace in the 13th. At 106-1, in Sadiq's second, Stewart (10) was bowled & one ball later Koen was lbw. Hull-Denholm finished 68* (4x4, 3x6) & the innings closed at 115-4.
Sadiq & Will A faced Carr & Bennett. Three boundaries in the first as Sadiq drove hard. 18 off 2 overs & then mayhem in the 3rd as Sadiq took 4,4,6,3 & 4 to Will for the score to rocket to 41. 10 off the 4th then Koen & Hay went for 20 & 27 in two overs each, the total rising to 98 after 8 overs, very positive shot making!!
In the 9th Sadiq (54, 22b, 7x4,2x6) was lbw to Oraikhil, 101-1 & in the next Will (34, 20b, 4x4) was caught & bowled by Askins, 109-2. Jan (9*) & Sree (6*) completed the comfortable win.
The semi final is against Newcastle or Benwell Hill who have yet to play.
