Winning the toss & batting on a blameless surface but with a little movement, SN found themselves 48-7 with 4 lbw's & some indifferent shots to full pitched bowling after only 13 overs. A splendid 7th wicket stand of 89 between Owen Hollins (44) & Cam Skinner (47*) rescued the innings which eventually ended at 149, probably 40 short of a par score.

An early wicket apiece for James Ruddick & Cam Skinner, 36 -2, promised but Ben Mussett took the game away driving anything full powerfully, 12x4 & 1x6 in a run a ball 66, 111-3, & in the company of David Haxon (56*), surviving an early convincing lbw shout, laid the foundation for a 5 wicket win, in only the 34th over.

The James Bell Memorial Trophy 2017 final against the Hill on Friday 4th May will hope for a much better display. 1800 at Denton Bank, do come along to support.
