A dull day, hazy & damp, the visitors were invited to bat. Clarke & Mcardle  faced the seam of McCord & Tom Oliver. 20-1 in the 6th as Tom got one to nip back & bowl Clarke (17). Sandhu & Mcardle batted positively. Patrick Hatcher & Leo Harper entered the attack but the total rose as regular boundaries were scored, Mcardle favouring the legside.

At 82 in the 18th Sandhu (28) edged Leo to w/k Belinda, 2 down. Liv (leg spin) had begun a spell in the 17th & most commendably then bowled her 9 overs for 45 taking three wickets, bouncing back after an expensive third over & accounting for Mcardle (57) at 112 when a leading edge was caught by David Cragg at mid wicket. David had begun his spell of 5 overs in the 22nd.

Her second wicket saw Rawlley (34) lofting over cover for a retreating Patrick to take the catch over his head, 145-4 in the 29th. After one Dominic Johnson over rain & an early tea meant a reduction to 39 overs each. The fielding before tea had been variable with misfields & chances not taken.

In the first after the break D Murray (3) missing a sweep, was lbw to Liv,154-5. Two overs later Will Oliver bowled Davison (18) & in the next I Murray (4) was caught by Patrick at mid wicket off Dominic, 161-7 after 36 overs.

In the 38th Speight (1) was bowled by Dominic, one that kept low & in the last Bowden (1) swung Will O to deep square leg where Leo held the catch with aplomb. The innings ended 4 runs later at 174 -9. The fielding after the break had been exemplary, only 3 wides in total showed good control of line.

In reply Jacob McCord & Will Oliver faced the seam of D Murray & Mcardle. 27-1 in the 8th as Will (20, 2x4 1x6) who had batted with intent, was bowled by Mcardle, defending. Jacob & Aadi both struck 2x4 but in the 14th at 62 Jacob (23 2x4) defending, was bowled by Speight. Fraser Hall joined Aadi.

Aadi pulled D Murray for 6 but after one boundary Fraser (7) was bowled by D Murray with one that nipped back, 82-3. Leo entered, 3 maidens in 5 overs then at 97 in the 23rd Aadi (31, 61b, 3x4 1x6), a sound innings, was bowled by Clarke's medium pace. At 111 in the 27th Leo (8) lobbed back to bowler Clarke as the ball stopped a bit, 5 down.

Belinda & Olivia both struck boundaries until Belinda (16) advanced to Clarke & missed to be stumped, 130-6. Patrick joined Liv with 8 overs to go & 45 runs needed. The pair batted calmly, hitting the bad balls & taking singles .

Bowden, Clark & Sandhu strove for the breakthrough but none came.

Patrick hit boundaries in overs 32, 33, 35 & finished with a 6 after 3 balls of the 39th over, a victory by 4 wickets, the 7th wicket partnership of 49 with LIv unbroken. A good win !!
