Re-opening of Nets

15th May 2020

South Northumberland Cricket Club are delighted to be able to re-open our outdoor net facilities. We currently have one artificial net available, and hope to have two grass nets available from the middle of next week. One of these grass nets wil be reserved for senior practice. The ECB require all use of nets to be made through a booking system. Our terms of use are set out below:

  • All ECB guidelines must be adhered to. Breaking of these guidelines may result in rejection of future bookings. These guidelines can be found here: https://www.ecb.co.uk/news/1668576/ecb-guidelines-for-the-use-of-outdoor-cricket-facilities-in-lockdown
  • Bookings will be start on the hour and last 45 minutes. The user must vacate the net after 45 minutes in order to allow for safe change over time prior to the following booking.
  • Our nets may only be used by our members and their guests, and all users must adhere to the ECB's social distancing guidelines.
  • Bookings must be made by contacting ruaidhrifletcher@southnorth.co.uk. Please ensure you have a confirmation email before arriving at the club.
  • Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes before your booking.
  • Entrance to the club is via the car park behind the indoor centre - parking is available
  • When exiting the artificial net, we ask that users exit via the path that emerges at the groundsman's shed. This is to minimise the risk of user's coming into contact with the following booking.
  • If suffering from symptoms of Covid-19, sharing a household with someone suffering from symptoms of Covid-19, or classified as extremely vulnerable, we ask that you remain at home and follow the government advice.
