Excellent win for the Women's 1st XI in round 1 of the national ECB T20

Our Women's team were drawn at home on Sunday 1 st May against Saxton CC in the first round of the ECB Women's Club T20 competition and registered a well-deserved win. Losing the toss we were invited to have a bat and posted 100 from our 20 overs against a good bowling attack, thanks largely to a well-made 42 from 42 balls from opener Amy Jobling.
In reply Saxton were restricted to 74-8 thanks to a strong all-round bowling performance from the home side. 2 wickets each for Caroline Jamieson and Freya Rook plus one each for Anya Meears-White and Olivia Miller.
The team will now travel to Sessay Emeralds (Thirsk) for round 2 which is scheduled for Sunday 29 th May.
