The Sporting Dinner 2026 with Nigel Owens

We are honoured to announce our Sporting Dinner 2026 on Thursday 14th May sponsored by Womble Bond Dickinson. We will be joined by one of rugby’s most respected figures, our guest speaker Nigel Owens. Nigel is a former International Rugby Union referee, widely regarded as one of the greatest in the game, having taken charge of more test matches than any other referee and officiated at multiple Rugby World Cups, including the 2015 final between New Zealand and Australia.


Beyond his achievements on the field, Nigel is known for his humour, his integrity and his openness in speaking about mental health and equality in sport, making him an inspirational figure far beyond rugby. His stories from the very highest level of international sport, and his message about the values that underpin it, make him the perfect guest for our Sporting Dinner.
