Benwell Hill won the toss & batted on Mon 7th May at sunny Roseworth Terrace. An opening 54 run partnership between Emily Whiting (59*) & Annie Anderson (39) set the tone & consistent scoring saw the visitors total a significant 170-3 in their 20 overs. A wicket each for Olivia Miller, Olivia Ditchfield & Selina.
In reply South North were indebted to a blistering 102 from number 3 Rachel Foreman who struck 13x4 & 4x6 in a 48 ball assault. Despite 16 from Captain Rachael Gillott & 20* from Ellie Harris, SN finished 12 short on 158-3.
A thoroughly entertaining game.
