On Wednesday 25th August we host our first professional women’s T20! The Northern Diamonds take on the Sunrisers with the game starting at 14:30. South North members are allowed into the ground for free and do not require a ticket.
Unlike the Durham game that we hosted a few weeks ago, spectators will be allowed to sit in front of the club house. The club will be selling food and refreshments on the day, and will also be running a raffle so keep an eye out for that. It would be great to see as many of our members down as possible and we hope you have an enjoyable day!
We are delighted to welcome the two sides to South North and it is a step in the right direction as our women and girls section continues to go from strength to strength. The coach of the Northern Diamonds is ex-England International Dani Hazell who played some junior cricket at South North. Another South North player Ami Campbell is unavailable for selection for this match but is in the Northern Diamonds squad.
