A good wicket at Roseworth Terrace the Lyons chose to bat. Fishwick & Birbeck faced the right arm seam of Bushnell & Alexander. Success in the second over as Birbeck (4) edged Alexander to w/k Peyton, 11-1.

This brought in visiting pro Valentine Kitime who stroked 96 & was only dismissed from the first ball of the 19th over. He hit powerfully down the ground & punished anything short.

Rotating his bowlers Hewey brought Nicky Phillips & Oli McGee into the attack from  the 5th over. The total had reached 67 in the 9th when Fishwick (28) swung Nicky to deep square leg where Nathan Gough took the catch.

Kitime promptly struck Nathan for 6 & 6 to long on & mid wicket. Will Phillips two overs of hitting the pitch, off spin commendably went for only 15. The total had reached 116 after 15 overs & then in the 16th Clay (16) who likes to scoop, drove flat to mid on where Sol took the catch off Will Alexander, 134 -3 after 16 became 159 -4 in the 18th when bowler Oli held onto a firm drive from Talbot (11).

Kitime, (96, 47b, 6x4 8x6) who had hit straight with abandon, fell in the 19th caught at short fine leg by Nicky aiming to scoop Bushy. A superb last over from Will Alexander conceded only one run, the Lyons innings closed on 174-5.

In reply Chris Hewison & Sol Bell faced the sla of Cameron Grimwood & seam of Aaron Watson. 51-0 after 5 overs but in the 7th at 59 Sol (32, 18b, 5x4, 1x6) was run out as his optimistic call for 2 was turned down by Hewey.

As Dixon (ob) & Kitime (ob) entered the attack Hewey struck 6's straight & to long on. In  over 11 after striking 2x4, Hewey ( 62, 39b, 6x4, 4x6) was caught at deep square leg by Dixon off Talbot, 110-2.

Two overs later Adam Cragg (11) was caught by Grimwood at deep mid wicket off Talbot.127-3.  As the bowlers rotated, Bushy & Rob Peyton then put together a partnership of 48 to win the game in the 19th over with 7 balls to spare. Bushnell 34* (31b, 2x4) & Peyton 27* (20b, 2x4 1x6). Observers praised the management of the chase, confident of a successful outcome. This third win means the Bulls, on 18 points, have qualified for the 1/4 finals on Friday 26th June.
