Covid-19 Advice for visiting South North

Advice for Visiting Teams and Officials to South Northumberland

We welcome opposition teams and will try and accommodate them as safely as we can. Please find below the plan we have in place to ensure all players, officials, volunteers and those attending our hospitality area remain safe in line with ECB and Government guidance and guidelines.

Arrival

There will be signage on entry and exit detailing our rules to follow. We will have Covid officers at all fixtures. Please follow their instructions at all times. No person showing symptoms is permitted. Please remind all those you anticipate that may attend not to do so if they display any symptoms or are required to isolate. If symptoms develop during the game then please follow government guidelines.

Parking and Access

Please park on Moor Road North to the east of the ground, as parking inside the ground is required for officials and club employees. Please access the club through the bottom gate on Moor Road North.

Players

Home team will use the home dressing room. The maximum capacity is 6 players at any one time and social distancing must be observed at all times. The benches in front of the home dressing room are for use by the home team only. Away team will use the away dressing room and follow social distancing rules.

Players are advised to arrive dressed ready to play the game.

The Club is not providing cricket teas at this stage. All players and officials will need to bring their own food. For some matches a barbecue will operate and sandwiches / toasted sandwiches may be available from the bar.

Please adhere to government guidelines on social distancing at all times and use common sense to avoid the risk of spreading infection.

Whilst sanitiser will be provided for sanitisation breaks we advise that all those attending provide their own sanitiser for all other times.

Umpires

Umpires will have access to the umpires’ room and toilets accessed from the field of play. Umpires are allowed to park in the ground, accessed from Moor Road North.

Scorers

Scorers can sit socially distanced in the score box or, if preferred, the visiting scorer can sit in the link passage just outside the door with a great view of the ground.

Spectators

South North welcomes spectators, the club have numerous socially distanced benches spread out around the ground, as well as picnic tables and seating in front of the clubhouse and in the outdoor marquee. All are set up for club members and their families and the visiting team’s supporters.

Spectators must observe social distancing rules and legal gathering size limits. At present multiple groups of 30 are allowed outdoors with no interaction between the groups. The ground capacity at present is 1000 spectators.

Hospitality

The Clubhouse bar is open and following government guidance for the hospitality industry. Please follow instructions.

Both indoor and outdoor hospitality will be available at most matches. The provision of food and beverage will follow government guidance on hospitality which at present allows customers to be served in groups of up to 6 persons or two households indoors or in groups of up to 30 outdoors. Table service will be required. Customers must order, eat and drink whilst seated.

Visitors will be asked for contact details in line with track and trace guidelines. Failure to supply details will result in being asked to leave the ground. Members and members’ guests are welcome as well as members and guests of the opposition.

General

The above are the principal points which must always be adhered to. Please follow the instructions of our Covid officers, bar staff or Club officials at all times and please be courteous when doing so. They are carrying out a difficult function to ensure the safety of all attending and the continuance of competitive and social cricket.

Thank you in advance for your patience and support.
