2007 Season Review
The season started off well with a good cup win over Tynedale. Batting first Tynedale got 137, we knocked them off in 18 overs, Faisal Mohammed 74 not out, Craig Moon 46 were the main stays of the innings.
In the league we only lost one game against a strong Benwell Hill side. There were good wins against Newcastle, Percy Main and Newcastle City. Joe Knox was the main contributer in these games scoring 64 against Newcastle City.
The big dissapointment was a loss in the quater final of the cup against Benwell Hill, we got 157, Faisal Mohammed scoring 69 and Greg Hollins scoring 50 not out. Benwell Hill then knocked the runs off with some lusty hitting at the end of the innings.
It was a good effort by all who played throughout the season but we suffered a little with bad weather and those unavailable due to exams.
Finally I would like to thank John Ruddick for has efforts during the season and good luck to those playing next year.
